Kane started his career as a professional Australian Rules Football (AFL) player at the age of 17. Over the next 14 years, he went on to win two premierships with the Adelaide Crows and captain the Richmond Tigers.
During his final year as captain of Richmond, Kane began his journey into qigong meditation and started researching cleaner ways of eating and living – using these methods as a way to optimise the physical side of his training.
This experience led Kane to explore complementary techniques which included training with monks in China, studying at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and spending countless hours with masters in the wellness field. It was during this phase that Kane discovered where his post-football passions lay and created Chi Lab to assist others on their own wellness journey.
Through the regular practice of qigong meditation and mindfulness methods, as well as incorporating achievable and realistic health and lifestyle changes, Kane has developed a strong understanding of how these practices can calm the mind, optimise the body’s performance and create a balanced and more fulfilling life.
